Signs of Panic Attacks

Janet had a panic attack during a work meeting. She suddenly felt dizzy, started sweating, and felt a strange surge running through her head which made her think she was having a stroke. Her head felt heavy and her limbs tingled so she had to actually lie down. She is still embarassed about the incident.

Today, more than at any other time in history, being anxious, tense or nervous is part of the world we live in. In fact, practically everyone will experience some form of anxiety or panic attack during the course of his or her life.

Physical symptoms of a panic attack-

The symptoms of panic attacks can vary greatly from person to person, but can include:
- Heart pounding, palpitations, or racing
- Constant shivering or shaking, visible or not
- Lump in the throat
- Shortness of breath
- Tightness in the chest
- Nausea
- Light headedness
- Profuse sweating
- Hot or cold flushes
In addition to the physical symptoms, other effects might be feeling detached from the world and a feeling of lightheadedness.

Anxiety disorders including panic attacks have now become so prevalent that there are now thousands of people seeking treatment for their anxiety.
There are a variety of treatments available for controlling panic attacks, including medications, and behavioral techniques including relaxation techniques and gradually increasing exposure to situations that may have previously caused anxiety.

However, medications can have unpleasant side effects, and the panic attacks start again if you stop taking the drugs. Also, many therapies merely teach coping mechanisms and strategies on how to get over a panic attack once it actually happens.

Fortunately, if you are interested in how to stop a panic attack there is a radical new treatment I discovered that is unlike anything that is available today. It involves no medication, no herbs, no therapy, no riding out the fear or hypnosis. If you want to find out about it, visit Freedom From Panic or sign up for the free newsletter at Freedom From Panic Tips.
